To Be a Kid Again...
Just got back from Hot Wheels. It was so fun to watch MacKenna attempting to skate for the first time! When I was 8 years old I went to the skating rink at LEAST once a week. Rolling around, not a care in the world. Going so fast my hair (I was a toehead back then) would be blowing behind me. The limbo, the hokey pokey, ahhh...fun memories.

Piles and things to do
I have piles, no mountains of things to do. I should be working on them now. Instead, I'm TYRING to be in denial and I'm on the internet instead. My children ask me daily if they can hang their stockings, make cookies and open presents (even though there are none under the tree). I will be classified as out of my mind by Christmas. Maybe if I stop sleeping I could manage it all. OK, that's a bad idea. Without sleep I'm in real trouble. I do things like put cereal in the fridge and milk in the pantry. How do you get it all done?
One another note. Thanks to Kathy Mccloy for the fabulous pictures. My husband said they are, and I quote "dandy".
Alright, off I go to tackle mountgetitalldonebeforeilosemymind. Happy day.

Great to See You!
I've been really lucky to see a few friends and family I hadn't seen in a couple of years. Jon had to go to Omaha for meetings, so the girls and I went too! We got a chance to reconnect with the Wilmers Family. They are such great people! Michelle is originally from Scotland...I still have to ask her to repeat herself. She starts talking in her other "language" about bins, boots, prams, nappies and I just get lost! John or "Little John" as we lovingly refer to him (my DH is "Big Jon") is still a riot. It was an absolute blast to see all our children together. Four girls and then poor little out numbered Lachlan!...but he just hung right in there! MacKenna and Annika are just one month apart. It's strange to see them interacting with each other instead of spitting up on one another (now there are some great memories)!!! It was a short trip, but was worth it. Sure do miss those guys!
Aunt Betty and Heather came back home for a visit! It was a short visit as Heather had a wedding to attend. Just seeing them in person for a few hours was a treat. They have been such a positive influence in my life. I miss them dearly but I know AZ is the place they need to be. Heather is kicking "Chuck's" @&&. I'm so glad she gets to do that in a place she calls "paradise". Hopefully I'll get to make another trip there sooner than later. It was great to see you!

I Don't Get It
I finally got to watch my DVR of Oprah with the chicks from Sex And The City last night. I was always a fan of the show and will go see the movie in a few weeks! On her show they somehow got on the subject of their ages and how in their 20's they really didn't know who they were. I don't get that and have never understood not knowing who you are. Am I the wierd one? I've always known who I am. I can say I didn't always know what I would be doing when I "grew up", but that really didn't take long to figure out. There's enough to worry about in life and I can't imagine struggling with your self image too. Maybe I'm lucky or maybe I just didn't have a choice.

These Girls, Three Girls!
These girls. Three girls. I still don't understand how this happened. OK, OK, I know how it happened smarty pants. What I mean is, how in the world did I get so lucky? I'm in so deep most days it's hard to remember life without my girls. OK, OK, if I think hard enough I CAN remember what it was like to sleep until noon, go to Wal-Mart without someone following me around crying or getting my first bite of dinner before someone needs seconds or something to drink. But I have to tell you, I wouldn't change a thing. I could cry right now just thinking about these girls and how much I love them. They grow up so fast. I know they are still little, but my oldest goes to Kindergarten next year. Her first day I'll have to put on my big girls panties and hold back the tears (especially in front of Jon!). Here's to lovin' life.
Opener
Alright Bunco chicks, here it is. I'm not promising anything ground breaking or life changing. Just like Forrest said, "you never know what you're gonna get".
